Next morning I've changed all my baby's plastic feeding products with glass bottles, for the moment. It is less convenient, the bottles are heavier and special attention is required (in fact, in less then 10 hours I've managed to broke a bottle, I suspect it was a problem from the manufacturer, but, anyway, one bottle less in the first day :) 1. Whay? I spent about $40, but I eliminated (I hope so) a big risk that can be generated by plastic bottles: a kind of <a href="http://zrecs.blogspot.com/2007/11/z-report-bisphenol-in-baby-bottles-and.html">endocrine-disrupting hormone</a> (read the article, is especially good). 2. What I chose? Firstly, I start using the Evenflo glass bottles I received as a gift 8 months ago. Until now I was using only the nipples (stage 1), and I was very happy with them (this is another story, but my baby proffered bottle during the day, so I have to express the milk and feed her, and I had no problem to switch to breastfeeding during the night, she, so the latex nipple from Evenflo seems OK). You can find <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/search?ie=UTF8&keywords=Evenflo%20glass%20bottles&tag=lamazebabytoy-20&index=blended&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325">Evenflo glass bottles</a> at Amazon, are cheap and quite resistant. Then I chose a <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/redirect.html?ie=UTF8&location=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.com%2FBornFree-7%25252doz%25252e-Trainer-Cup-Orange%2Fdp%2FB0015V40P4%3Fie%3DUTF8%26s%3Dbaby-products%26qid%3D1225325108%26sr%3D1-10&tag=lamazebabytoy-20&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325">BornFree trainer cup</a>, it is plastic, I know, but at least is BPA-free and it is from one of the recommended brands. This is still to arrive. I've bought 2 more 5oz glass bottles from a local store, one is already brocken, so I think of <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001E2GNUO?ie=UTF8&tag=lamazebabytoy-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B001E2GNUO">Born Free 3 Pack BPA Free 5 oz Plastic Bottles</a> or to buy some Evenflo 5oz glass bottles, but only buying some <a href="http://www.amazon.com/gp/search?ie=UTF8&keywords=WeeGo&tag=lamazebabytoy-20&index=blended&linkCode=ur2&camp=1789&creative=9325">silicone sleeves</a>, too. I know, I did not decided for spoons and bowls, I'll do it probably tomorrow, since is very late now and tomorrow... it's another day.
